Overall Objective:

To foster healthy eating habits among elementary school children and their parents through campaigns, as well as practical and creative activities like mini Olympics, hydration contests, and the preparation of healthy recipes.

According to the ENSANUT 2012, 36.9% of the students in Guanajuato, Mexico, reached an alarming overweight rate in 2012. Nutrition Education at School, an educational program that we implemented in three schools along with Servicios Educativos del Bajío, seeks to directly benefit students and train 88 teachers. In addition, this work is complemented with the transformation of the family environment. We train parents so that they make better decisions and prepare nutritious foods for their families.
