STRATEGIC PARTNERS

In 2016, we partnered with the University Regiomontana (U-ERRE) and the Center on the Developing child of Harvard University, alongside LEGO Foundation, Fundación FRISA, Kinedu, and Omidyar Network to support the Innovation Accelerator for Early Childhood (Aceleradora de Innovación para la Primera Infancia) (AIPI).

INNOVATION IN ACTION

The AIPI forms part of a web of investigators and professionals oriented in translating scientific knowledge into high impact strategies on the subject matter of early childhood. It operates based on the model of innovation clusters, using a method that facilitates the development, implementation, testing and quick adaptation of each strategy.

PROMOTING PROJECTS

The first of its kind in Mexico, through the AIPI, we support projects that have training, consultancy, and enrichment. We currently focus on three initiatives:

  • Padres muy padres, an initiative of the Hospital Infantil de México Federico Gómez (Mexico’s Children’s Hospital Federico Gomez), to empower fathers in the upbringing of children younger than six months of age.
  • Play Time (Tiempo para jugar), developed by Un Kilo de Ayuda in order to help rural caregivers increment play time with the children.
  • Welfare in your pregnancy (Bienestar en tu embarazo), implemented by DEI Comunidad A.C. to reduce adolescent pregnant mothers’ stress and improve their interactions with the baby.
