Together we protect 20,000 health staff members

The alliance Contagia Solidaridad (Spread Solidarity), which we formed together with Grupo Coppel, Santander, Soriana, OXXO and Fundación Televisa, delivered the first 20,000 protective equipment to medical and nursing personnel in the health sector. The delivery was made possible thanks to the initiative’s seed capital and the generous donations from citizens, which were quadrupled by this initiative.

Each donated protection kit allows health personnel to be protected for a month. It consists of 100 three-layer face masks and 4 protective masks, the latter made by PTM, a Mexican company that is a part of FEMSA and provides plastic transformation solutions. In total, we have delivered more than 2.2 million protection supplies that will directly benefit more than 20,000 staff members of non-COVID health centers in Aguascalientes, Mexico City, Guanajuato, Puebla and Querétaro.

The opportunity for you to participate with your contribution in this initiative will be open until June 30th. We continue to receive direct donations to the fund’s account or through the more than 9,000 Santander ATMs throughout the country. Support can also be given through participating OXXO stores in Baja California, Mexico City, Coahuila, State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Veracruz and Zacatecas through the OXXO Customer Rounding program.

For every peso donated by the community, together with Grupo Coppel, Santander and Soriana we will give 4 more in order to reach the initial goal of protecting 70 thousand members of the health personnel. The fund’s account is:

AYUDA SANTANDER
CUENTA: 65501821470
CLABE INTERBANCARIA: 014680655018214704

In this alliance of collective entrepreneurial action, andatti, the coffee brand for sale in OXXO, participates through a donation joining efforts with us and with Chocolate abuelita and Svetia. Fundación Televisa, in addition to contributing to the initial fund, adds support through dissemination with its television station, in order to promote the initiative and raise awareness about the relevance of the work of health professionals at this time.

With the support of Solistica, a company that is a part of FEMSA and provides integral logistics solutions, and in conjunction with the OXXO Distribution Centers, it was possible to distribute and deliver the kits to the different institutions in the country.

Donors who contribute through the AYUDA SANTANDER account can request their deductible receipt at the following address: m.bulnes@comunidar.org. Further information on this initiative is available at http://www.contagiasolidaridad.org.
